Ciprian Porumbescu: village settled at the springs of Moldova river. Place of birth for the composer with the same name; memorial complex.
Gura Humorului: city on the valley of Moldova river. Settlement founded around 1770. Museum of ethnography. Surroundings: Humor (monument of architecture, founded in 1530 by Teodor Bubuiog, piece of art for the Romanian medieval art).
Suceava: city at the right of the river with the same name; capital-city of Suceava district. Vestiges from antiquity, capital of Moldavia from 1388 until 1566. Leader’s fortress (1374-1391, XV-XVII centuries; partially restored); the statue of Stefan cel Mare; Scheia fortress (XIV century; ruins); Leader’s court (XIV-XV century; ruins); museum of history, natural sciences, plastic arts, ethnography; monuments of architecture (XIV-XVII century).
Campulung Moldovenesc: city on the valley of Moldova river, at Rarau foots. Museum of ethnography; spoons collection (I. Tugui) and other objects (M. Lacatus) wood made; old houses (XVIII-XIX centuries). Surroundings: the chalet-hotel Rarau -1520m. alt.; Mestecanis chalet -1220m. alt.
Brosteni: village set on Bistrita valley; wood architecture (XVIII century); mineral sulfuric waters used in treating the affections of the alimentary channel, kidneys and urinal channels.
Poiana Teiului: village at the end of Izvorul Muntelui reservoir. Piatra Teiului- monument of the nature.
Manastirea Neamt: village set on Nemtisorului valley, between Plesului peak -915m. alt. and Dubranului hill -931m. alt.; documentary mentioned in 1446. Monument of history and architecture, successive founded by Petru I Musat (XIV century), Alexandru cel Bun and Stefan cel Mare (XV century)- one of the most valuable architectonic assembly of ancient Romanian art; museum of medieval art; library, the oldest in the country; monuments of architecture (XVIII-XIX); memorial museum Mihail Sadoveanu; natural reservation (bison). Surroundings: Braniste grove (touristic halting place); monuments of history and architecture Secu (1602), Sihastria (1720), Sihla (1763).
Targu Neamt: city at the foots of Plesu hill, on Ozana shore. Ancient centre of human culture, medieval fortification (1395), borough (1408). Fortress (1395; partially restored), museum of history and archeology in Scoala domneasca (1853); memorial museum Ion Creanga (Humulesti). Surroundings: Agapia village (architectonic assemnly, 1647, paintings realized by Nicolae Grigorescu in 1860;memorial museum “Alexandru Vlahuta”; Varatec village (monument of architecture, 1808); Baltatesti village (balneal resort, 475m. alt. recommended for rheumatism, affections of alimentary channel and annex glands, genecology)
Pascani: city from the superior valley of Siret. Museum of history; Cantacuzino-Pascanu house (XVII century); monument of architecture (1664).
Ruginoasa: village on the superior basin of Siret. Palace (1811) belonging to Alexandru Ioan Cuza –museum.
Cotnari: village settled in the area of the hills between Bahlui and Bahluiet. Ancient place, documentary attested in XIII century, medieval borough (1448), with a Latin college (1562). Famous wine-growing area. Traco-Dacian fortification(marks); the basements of houses attributed to Stefan cel Mare; stone bridge, XV century (Carjoaia) folkloric area.
Harlau: village on the springs of Bahlui. Fortress of Musatinilor (1391) restored by Stefan cel Mare. Museum of history; leader’s houses (1486; in course of renewing); monuments of architecture (1492, 1540).
Flamanzi: village near Bahlui springs. Museum of history (the countrymen revolt from 1907).
Botosani: city placed between the superior valleys of Siret and Jijia; residence of Botosani district. Museum of history, Nicolae Iorga memorial house; monuments of architecture (1496, 1551, XVII-XIX century); first statue of Mihai Eminescu (1890). Surroundings: Mihai Eminescu village (Ipotesti; memorial museum); Baisa village (Stejatul chalet).
