The way contains mainly the ethno-folkloric area traditionally named Marginimea Sibiului.
Sibiu: city settled on the shores of Cibin; residence of Sibiu district. Vestiges from the Neolithic age, hypothetical Dacian-Roman settlement-Cedonia; documentary attested in the Middle Age, in 1192. Medieval city (XIII-XVIII; vestiges); Pasajul scarilor, Podul minciunilor (XIX century); Brukethal museum, the oldest from the country (1817); Exhibit –the history of the city (Turnul Sfatului, 1588); Exhibit of weapons and hunting trophies, unique in the country; monuments of architecture (XIII-XIX centuries); the museum of popular techniques (in Dumbrava).
Cisnadie: settled at the foots of Cibin mountains, settlement documentary mentioned in 1204. Medieval architectonic ensemble (XIII-XVIII century); museum; monument of architecture in Roman style, the oldest from the country (1223, Csinadioara)
Rasinari: village set at the foot of the southern versant of Cibin mountains. Museum of history and folk art; artisanal centre; collection of old art; monument of architecture (1759); the natal house of Octavian Goga; the mausoleum of the bishop Andrei Saguna.
Paltinis: climacteric and winter sports resort (1442m. alt.), in Cibinlui mountains, ski tracks.
Cristian: village set on Cibin valley, the “gate” of east of Marginimii Sibiului. Rural museum of history, art and ethnography.
Saliste: village at the foot of the northern versant of Cibin mountains. Old Romanian settlement mentioned in documents -1322-1366. Traditional centre of the ethno-folkloric area Marginimea Sibiului. Museum of history and folk art.
Tilisca: village placed on the valley of the river with the same name; settlement from the Bronze age (Wietenberg culture), than Dacian town (II BC)
Poiana Sibiului: village placed on the northern versant of the last heights of Cibin mountains. Rural museum of history and ethnography; wood architecture (XVIII century).
Garbova: village; Medieval Castle (1291), trough the oldest from Transylvania; Roman basilica (XIII century; ruins)
Calnic: village set on the valley of the river with the same name. Rural fortress of ellipsoidal plan (around 1269), trough the oldest and the best preserved from Transylvania.
Sebes: city set on the inferior course of the river with the same name. Daco-Roman vestiges; documentary attested in 1245. Fortress (XV century; marks); museum of history and ethnography. Surroundings: Sebes valley, upstream (Geto-Dacian and Roman vestiges; hydro-energetic projects)
Miercurea Sibiului: village set in the neighborhood of Secasului valley, well-known borough in Middle Ages. Rural fortress of ellipsoidal plan. Surroundings: Baile Miercurea (seasonal balneal resort, 260m. alt. recommended in treating the affections of locomotive system, genecology, debility.
Ocana Sibiului: town set on a salt massive, on the valley of Alb-Visa river; permanent balneal-climacteric resort (408m. alt.) since XVI century, recommended for diseases of locomotive system, genecology, alimentary channel. Antique fortress (marks); medieval fortress (XIII century).
