Alpine Valleys of Bucegi Mountains
Itineraries through the alpine valleys of Bucegi Mountains
Route Description:
The itineraries to be presented here are pretty difficult for ordinary tourists as they follow the Eastern valleys’ trails of Bucegi Mountains. In order to be able to pursue them, a good physical state is required. These trips will gather maximum 4 tourists plus the guide.
The minimum mandatory equipment for this kind of trips is:
· Boots with “Vibram” soles
· Back-pack of maximum 40 liters
· Flashlight
· Appropriate clothing
· Climbing harness
· 2 anneaux (nylon sling for rapid installation of temporary anchor points)
· 2 carabiners with safety hooks
· Helmet
· Rappel device
If any of those devices is missing from the tourists’ mandatory equipment, they will lose their right to go on these trips. Also, the consumption of alcoholic beverages (including beer) is strictly forbidden before and during trips.
The valleys to be crossed are:
· Valea Alba (White Valley) and going down on Valea Jepilor (Knee Pines’ Valley)
· Valea Costilei (Costila Valley) and going down on Brana Aeriana (Aerial Trail)
· Creasta Costila-Galbinele (Costila – Galbinele Ridge) and going down on Brana Aeriana (Aerial Trail)
· Valea Bucsoiu (Bucsoiu Valley) and going down on Valea Cerbului (Stag’s Valley)
· Valea Morarului (Miller’s Valley) and going down on Valea Cerbului (Stag’s Valley)
The price for these trips is 60 euros/ day/ person. If the tourists do not have climbing gear, this can be rented for 20 euros/ day/ person.
Other itineraries such as rock climbing routes can be planed upon request.
