Route Description:

2 Days Itinerary

Day 1

Busteni – Cabana Gura Diham (Diham Opening Cabin) – Cabana Poiana Izvoarelor (Springs’ Glade Cabin) – Cabana Malaiesti (Malaiesti Cabin) – Hornurile Malaiesti (Malaiesti Chimneys) – Cabana Vf Omu (Omu Peak Cabin) – Valea Obarsiei (Origin’s Valley) – Cabana Pestera (Cave Cabin) – Cabana Padina (Padina Cabin).

We leave behind Diham Opening Cabin, situated near the town of Busteni, climb up the trail leading to the beautiful little plateau where the Springs’ Glade Cabin is situated and turn on to the trail called Take Ionescu leadind us straight to Malaiesti Cabin.
From there, we climb through Malaiesti Chimneys all the way up to the Chimneys’ Saddle and then we head for Omu Peak Cabin. We get down on the Origin’s Valley and finally reach Padina Cabin, where we have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2

Cabana Padina (Padina Cabin) – Cabana Pestera (Cave Cabin) – Cabana Babele (Old Ladies Cabin) – Cabana Piatra Arsa (Torched Stone Cabin) – Canton Jepi (Knee Pines Canton) – Jepii Mari (Big Knee Pines) – Busteni.

We leave Padina Cabin and follow the trail leading to the Old Ladies’ Foot (Piciorul Babelor) and reach the Old Ladies Cabin where we can admire the spectacular stone formations the “Old Ladies” and the “Sphinx”.
Then, we continue our trip to the Torched Stone Cabin, and head for the town of Busteni going through the Big Knee Pines Valley. In our way to the end point of the journey we will be able to see a small and beautiful waterfall called the Howler (Urlatoarea).
