Route Description:


The itinerary connects the antiques and medieval vestiges with some of the prestigious accomplishments of the last years

Constanta: city-harbor at Black Sea; residence city of Constanta district. The former city Tomis founded by Milezeian Greeks (VI BC  century) and revitalized by Romans (I-IV centuries). Museum of national history and archeology; museum of history of navigation, natural sciences, plastic arts. Roman fortress (walls of precinct, districts, vestiges of the antique harbor); promenade ( monumental sculpture, XIX century); aquarium, planetarium.

Mamaia: climacteric resort places between the waters of the sea and those of the lake with the same name. theme park, summer theatre, cinema, playgrounds etc.

Murfatlar: village in the environ of the well known vine yard with the same name. floristic reservation; rupestrian complex (IX-X centuries) carved in Tibisirului hill.

Medgidia: city placed on the navigable channel Danube-Black Sea (Carasu valley). Museum of plastic art; monumental sculpture.

Cernavoda: city-harbor to Danube, at the entrance on the channel Danube-Black Sea. Vestiges of the Neolithic culture Hamangia ( the statues “Ganditorul” and “Femeia sezand”), marks of settlements and necropolis, along the time until Geto-Dacian époque. Axiopolis- Roman-Byzantine fortification and early feudal (IV-X century; ruins); museum of history, paleontology natural reservation (fossils).

Rasova: village-harbor at Danube, residence of the former district Silistea Noua (XIX century). Surroundings: Sacidava-Roman fortification (II century), on the old Dacian settlement.

Oltina: village-harbor at Danube, on the lake with the same name. Altinum (Altina)-Roman settlement (I-V century), station of the battle fleet of Moesia Secunda province (ground waves, walls, bricks, Roman ceramics, kilns; ruins)

Adamclisi: village set on a former Geto-Dacian settlement. Museum of archeology; Tropaeum Traiani (109 AC)- restored; Roman fortress (II AC; vestiges); funeral altar and mausoleum (marks).

Mangalia: city-harbor at Black Sea. Former Callatis colony, founded by Greeks (VI BC), developed by Romans (II-IV century), used by Genoese (XIII-XIV) that name it Pangalia. In 1593 appears with the nowadays name. permanent balneal-climacteric resort (15-20m. alt.), its mineral water has the highest  radioactivity from Europe (Mangalia lake); used by Romans for baths. Therapeutic indications: diseases of the locomotive system, marginal and central nervous system, genecology, dermatology, otorinolaringology, diseases of the blood, extra-pulmonary tuberculosis, rickets; Gerovital treatments are applied. Museum of archeology; “Mercurius” collection; fortress (ruins); the tomb with papyrus (IV BC); monument of oriental architecture (1590). Surroundings: Hagieni forestry reservation, Limanu village (museum of plastic arts; cave).

Saturn: marine balneal climacteric resort at 3km north Mangalia, with similar therapeutic indications. Playgrounds, leisure. Surroundings: seasonal balneal climacteric resorts Venus-Aurora and Jupiter.

Neptun-Olimp: marine balneal climacteric resort at 9km. north of Saturn, similar therapeutic indications. Playgrounds, leisure.

Eforie Sud: marine balneal climacteric resort at 15km north of Neptun Olimp, similar therapeutic indications; cold baths in Techirghiol lake and treatments with mud in solarium. Playgrounds, leisure means. Surroundings: Costinesti- balneal climacteric resort for youths.

Eforie Nord: marine balneal climacteric resort at 3km, of Eforie Sud, similar therapeutic indications. Playgrounds, leisure means. Surroundings: Techirghiol seasonal balneal-climacteric resort.

Constanta: the city-port on the Black Sea, founded by the Greeks milezieni (VI th BC), a museum of history, archeology, history of navigation, natural sciences, fine arts, Roman fortress (inside walls, district, vestiges of ancient people ), cliff (monumental sculpture sec. XX), aquarium, delfinariu, planetarium, statues of: Ovidiu, Eminescu; hotels: Palas, Intim, Continental, Casino etc.

Mamaia: spa, amusement park, sports, theater, terrace, theater, holiday village, Siutghiol Lake (water ski).

Histria: the oldest city in the country (VII th BC), port & city Roman, inside walls, gates, residential housing, thermal (partially restored), the archeological museum, tourist stop.

Murfatlar: famous vineyard, floriculture reserve; repestral complex (IX-X th) digging in the hill Tibisirului.

Adamclisi: museum of archeology Tropaeum Traiani (109 en) restored, Roman fortress (II en th); funerary shrine and mausoleum (traces).

Mangalia: city-port on the Black Sea; former colony -Callatis founded by Greeks (VI th BC), developed by the Romans (th II-IV), used by Genoeses (th XIII-XIV) which call -PANGALIA, permanent spa, Mangalia Lake-the largest radioactivity in Europe; archeological museum, the collection ,,Mercurius”, fortress (ruins), tomb with papyrus (IV BC), Hagieni forest reserve (4 km.).
